James E. Vaughan Jr., 72, passed away on September 22, 2018 in Valparaiso, Indiana. He was born on August 10, 1946 in Valparaiso, Indiana to James Sr. and Barbara (Taylor) Vaughan.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Laurentine Vaughan, children Julie (Carl) Breiner, James (Rachell) Vaughan III, and Justin Vaughan, sister, Melissa (Michael Jones) Vaughan, and 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents James Sr. and Barbara (Taylor) Vaughan.
He retired from the Army after 20 years as a combat engineer. He served three tours in Germany and loved to travel. He loved working on his 1980 corvette, and enjoyed watching Nascar, working on Sudoku puzzles, and his knife collection.
He was a loving husband, father, and brother and will be dearly missed.
