Obituary:
Michael “Mike” Laster, 68, passed away March 14, 2018 in Newburgh, IN. He was born the son of Leslie and Violet Laster on November 7, 1949 in Valparaiso, IN.
Mike was an avid bowler, fisherman, and Colts fan. He attended Central High School and worked for the city of Valparaiso for 26 years. Mike was a member of the USI Varsity Club and the Order of the Owls #30. Mike was a Cubs super fan his whole life, and was ecstatic when they won the World Series in 2016.
Mike is survived by his wife of 20 years Debbie (Goodall) nee Bradfield; children Melody (David Ganno) Overton, Angela (Jeff) Sullivan, and step-son Ryan Goodall; grandchildren Martin, Dalton, Danielle, Hannah, Tatum, Lida, Robby, Mikey, and Shelley; siblings Ronnie (Jennifer Spaulding), Diane (Garry) Lanham, Barbara (Del) Heerdink, Diane (Louis) Whitledge, and Helen (Steven) Prindle; and two great-grandchildren.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents; sister Carol Stanton; and grandson Bradley Randall.
Visitation will on be Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 12:30 p.m. with interment to follow in Graceland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Paaws, Another Chance for Animals, or It Takes a Village in Mike’s name.
