Norman “Norm” Woods, 69, passed away November 24, 2017 in Valparaiso, IN. Norm was born the son of Harry and Frances Woods on September 16, 1948 in Valparaiso.
Norm was part owner of AAA salvage business for many years. He was known for being a gifted problem solver and willing to try anything to get the job done to help everyone he could. In his free time he enjoyed riding his Harley and barbequing his famous steaks for his family. He was a man of few words but knew what to say and when to say it.
Norm is survived by his fiancé Shannon Sumner; children Joe (Dawn) Woods of Lebanon, MO and Nicole Woods of Valparaiso, IN; step-children Dustin Thomas, Eric Thomas and Keeley Thomas all of Valparaiso; grandchildren Benjamin Woods, Dillon Woods, Morgan Woods, Abbey Jo Woods, Lily Woods and Nova Woods.
Norm is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Graceland Cemetery. Funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. with interment to follow at Graceland Memorial Park.
