Percy L. Blocker, 90, passed away on January 6, 2019. He was born on July 29, 1928 to Albert and Allie Mae Blocker in Ashley County, AR.

Percy was a World War II Army veteran and won a Victory Medal. After the Army, he worked on an assembly line for Whirlpool. Percy enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren and granddogs. He and his wife helped raise his grandchildren and would always help their neighbors when they were having hard times. He enjoyed watching football, westerns, horse racing, baseball, and basketball. He absolutely loved to eat.

Percy is survived by his children Mike (Donna) Blocker, Karen (Fred) Bromm, Roxanne Robinson, Cindy (Jearl) Bulla, Kevin Blocker, and Janet Blocker; his 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and his brother Robert Blocker.

Percy was preceded in death by his parents; his 9 brothers and 3 sisters; and his wife of 60 years Margie Blocker.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at 12 p.m. on Thursday, January 10th at Graceland Cemetery. A burial will directly follow at Graceland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Vanderburgh Humane Society.

The family would like to thank Brookdale Senior Living, Southern Care Hospice, and Dr. Crawford’s office and staff for their excellent care.
